Helio Games is a mobile game developer founded in 2017 and based in sunny Cyprus. We create succesful products like Westland Survival, Mutiny and brand-new Amikin Village. Our mission is to build engaging midcore survival games enjoyed by millions worldwide.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?
Analyze the current infrastructure of a legacy project (non-containerized services running on virtual hosts without Docker or Kubernetes);
Migrate an existing project to AWS, including database migration, and take over its technical support;
Review the infrastructure of another project (running on Kubernetes in AWS) and estimate the cost of its current AWS setup based on real-world usage;
Develop a migration plan with key requirements: minimal downtime and zero data loss;
Set up new infrastructure, including monitoring, CI/CD, backups, and logging;
Collaborate with the backend team to load-test the database and key services, fine-tune the cluster if needed;
Execute the project migration to AWS;
Maintain, improve, and optimize DevOps processes within the company;
Migrate another project to AWS;
Take over technical support of an existing ETL process and suggest optimization improvements.
What kind of professional are we looking for?
3+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer;
Strong knowledge of AWS and hands-on experience with infrastructure migration;
Solid experience with Kubernetes and its configuration in cloud environments;
Experience with CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and backups;
Understanding of database load optimization principles;
Ability to evaluate cloud infrastructure costs and suggest cost-effective solutions;
Experience with ETL processes is a plus.
